Interim Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman

Roger S. Braugh Jr.

Mr. Braugh is a licensed attorney and co-founder of and long-time investor in upstream and midstream energy-related businesses and service companies.Mr. Braugh grew up on a working ranch in Kenedy County, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1992. He subsequently earned his law degree from Baylor University School of Law in 1996. After law school, Mr. Braugh received a one year federal judicial clerkship appointment with the Chief Judge of the federal Court of Appeals for Fifth Judicial Circuit and then joined the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP in Houston, Texas, which began his legal career as a practicing trial attorney. After a successful legal career that developed into a national practice, Mr. Braugh retired in 2017 as a partner at the law firm of Sico Hoelscher Harris & Braugh LLP, a firm he co-founded. At the time of his retirement, the firm had offices in Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi, Texas, and in Pasadena, California. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Braugh remained an entrepreneur, starting and managing multiple business ventures, many of which involved the energy industry. Mr. Braugh’s personal oilfield experience began when working as a roustabout in Brooks County, Texas as a teenager, and his oil and gas roots grew and developed into handling complex oil and gas litigation concerning royalty, drilling and production disputes as a lawyer. Mr. Braugh manages his companies’ investment strategies, and acquisition and development of business prospects and projects. With respect to his energy-related businesses, he personally interprets 2D and 3D seismic data, handles prospect planning and development, and has hands-on experience in drilling, completion and production operations.‍

Paul C. Sewell

Paul C. Sewell is a lawyer in the law firm of Cameron Dee Sewell, P.C. Mr. Sewell specializes in commercial law representing the interests of his clients who range from small business entrepreneurs to multi-million dollar entities. Mr. Sewell’s expertise in commercial transactions includes general counsel and day-to-day business operations; oil and gas industry transactions, including the purchase and sale of mineral interests, mergers and acquisitions, and acquisitions and divestitures; general business mergers and acquisitions, acquisitions and divestitures, and equity owner exit strategy planning; real estate matters, including purchases and sales of golf courses, income producing and other commercial and industrial properties, commercial and retail leases, and property tax protests; complex commercial lending transactions; negotiation of agreements for oil field services and supply of goods; negotiating terms and conditions of sale under the Uniform Commercial Code; representation of clients in the trucking and transportation industries; and representation of clients in the insurance adjusting industry. Mr. Sewell has been instrumental in the transfer of business ownerships and participated in complex financing structures to secure debt; counseled clients in complex mergers involving international publicly traded companies; participated in overseas lending transactions; negotiated and documented accounts receivable financing transactions on both the borrower and lender sides of the transaction; and negotiated and coordinated documentation of real estate transactions both within and outside of the State of Texas. Mr. Sewell graduated from The University of Texas at Austin (B.B.A. 1993) with a degree in marketing. He graduated Cum Laude from Baylor University School of Law in 1996 (J.D. 1996). While at Baylor Law School, Mr. Sewell served two terms as Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review. Mr. Sewell is admitted to practice the State Bar of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
